My family is my first ministry…
“He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man
cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?” – 1 Timothy 3:4-5 NLT

On June 20, 1998, Catherine and I vowed before God and man to commit to a life partnership with
unwavering love and fidelity “until death do us part”. To our union was born a son, Demetrius
Kenyatta Jr., affectionately known as “Junior” and Denae Kailah (Princess Kailah). Together, we
enjoy working in ministry, life, and life-ministry as a solid team.

Both of our children are actively engaged in the Audio/Visual Ministry and Youth & Young Adult
Ministry of our local church. They were not forced into ministry assignments, but rather led. Lady
Samu-el heads the Women’s Ministry, which is comprised of many auxiliaries and small groups.
